Recently, Evaluation of National Salt Lake Innovation Index 2024, organized and compiled by Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was officially published and distributed by Chemical Industry Press.
To align with China’s national salt lake innovation strategy and support the development of the national innovation system, researchers from the Information Center of Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes, CAS, initiated a pilot assessment research project on salt lake innovation metrics. This effort aims to establish preliminary frameworks for national and institutional salt lake innovation indices, designed to evaluate the current status and potential of China’s salt lake research through a scientific, objective, and comprehensive evaluation system, thereby fostering domestic collaboration and knowledge exchange in the salt lake industry.
Based on authoritative data such as salt lake scientific achievements, Evaluation of National Salt Lake Innovation Index 2024 constructs an evaluation system across three dimensions: salt lake knowledge innovation, technological innovation, and collaborative innovation. It assesses China’s salt lake innovation trends and the performance of salt lake-related research institutions from 2000 to 2023.
This research project received funding support from the Qinghai Provincial Science and Technology Academic Works Publication Fund. Collaborators in compiling the report included experts from the Library and Information Center of the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, CAS, and the National Science Library(WuHan) , CAS.
