The Second “Show My Research” Poster Competition sponsored by the Youth Innovation Promotion Group of ISL was successfully held. And more than 30 young employees and graduate students showed their Posters. The review of this competition adopts a combination of online voting and expert online review. At noon on April 20th, the online voting channel of the Second Poster Contest was officially opened, and all employees and graduate students actively browsed the participants’ posters in the system and voted for their valuable votes. In the end, the contest saw about 150,000 views of online voting, and the posters of the contestants received more than 18,000 votes in total. While voting online, experts were also invited to comment on the competition. The judges carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the poster's overall impression, research objectives, research methods and main results achieved in strict accordance with the judging criteria of the poster report at the international conference.
After expert review and online voting, Dr. Qin Zhanjie's "Origin and recharge model of the Late Cretaceous evaporites in the Khorat Plateau" and Dr. Peng Jiaoyu's "Research on Boron Recovery from Sulfate-type Saline Lakes with a Novel Dilution Method", Wang Guangguo's "Structure Study of Aqueous CaCl2 Solutions by Molecular Dynamics Simulations" and Gao Jingyi's "Prehistoric human Activity and its Environmental Background in Lake Donggi Cona Basin, Northeastern Tibetan Plateau" won the first prize of the competition of staff groups and graduate groups, respectively. 6 people including Dr. Gao Chunliang won the second prize, and 10 people including Dr. Sun Yanxia won the third prize. In addition, 6 contestants won the second prize and 10 contestants won the third prize.
