ISL signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qinghai Nuclear Geology in July 3. This agreement means the two sides established a firm partnership with each other and builds a good foundation for the two sides’ development in the domestic potash resources exploration.
In the signing ceremony, Dongping Duan, Deputy Director of ISL, and Shiyong Zhao, Director of Qinghai Nuclear Geology, made speeches respectively. Both introduced their advantages and the coming opportunities, showed the importance and urgency of establishing long-term cooperation, at the same time, set the requirements about this cooperation. The ceremony carried on in harmonious atmosphere.
ISL is the only national research institution specialized in comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources and the geological environment of salt lakes. The business scope expands from Qaidam Basin, Xinjiang and Tibet to Laos and Thailand. It provides a reliable technical support for the supply of potash and comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources. Qinghai Nuclear Geology has a strong comprehensive strength in geological exploration. Relying on the rich experience accumulated in nuclear geological exploration, and the advanced analytical technology, it has completed not only many domestic exploration and research tasks, but also the detailed survey of Laos potash basin. Both sides have cooperated for many years, mainly in geophysical exploration of salt deposits. Based on this agreement and using the opportunity of “The Belt and Road Initiatives”, both sides will strengthen the cooperation and make a positive contribution for the exploration of salt resources in China and Southeast Asia.
