Kick-off meeting of “regularity and prediction research of China land mass marine into potassium” was ceremoniously held in Beijing XinDaDu Hotel on December 1. which belongs to the program (973)  2011 project of the national ministry of land and resources Ma Haizhou was invited to attend as director of the program.

This project focus on evolution of Chinese tectonics, seized key elements such as control of tectonic mineralization composition -climate - the provenance. The main attack direction is to reveal the mechanism of coupling huge amount into potassium and salt , research emphases is selecting the typical marine vaporific rock basin , combining detection technology and innovation of resource prediction methods, develops the contrast of potassium between domestic and foreign, using the experience of domestic continental potassium mineral metallogenic regularities and theoretical results, putting forward new theory which suited to Chinese tectonic environment characteristics of land mass marine into potassium, to realize national potash resources goals.

Ma Haizhou responsible for the fourth task of the project "Orchid - Simao Cenozoic residual basin into potassium conditions, mechanism and later evolution", and was appointed project expert committee member. This project takes regional geological evolution of Orchid - Simao Cenozoic basins as the main line, develops detailed geology survey among lanping - simao basin, the basin structure control mechanism, potassium deposits distribution and sedimentary characteristics, into potassium substance sources and genetic types and mechanism is expounded from tectonics, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry etc viewpoints, so as to determine the basin and the favorable into potassium sites and horizon. Through the above study to provide the scientific basis for innovation of potash oretheory and prospecting techniques and methods to find new the potash resources base.
