In order to carry out the intellectual property strategy of state, and to strengthen ISL’s intellectual-property constructing, safeguarding and operating capacities of scientific research projects during the process of scientific research, ISL held a three-day intellectual property training course at assembly room on the sixth floor from the 19th to 21st of July. Some related ISL’s leaders, research specialist staffs and postgraduates attended this training course.

Four domestically famous specialists in the intellectual property gave the lessons in this training course, who are from State Intellectual Property Office, Policy Institute of CAS, CASIP and so on. The training contents involved patent basics and intellectual property management, innovation cases of TRIZ, new patent laws, unscrambling the detailed rules and regulations, etc.. Especially, ISL offered a course about chemistry patent writing skills in allusion to the reality of more patents applied in the areas of chemistry and chemical engineering.
The course employed such diversified training methodologies as lectures, deliberating cases and discussion among groups, so that each attendant had a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property in this short three days. All the attendants thought this training course was arranged from the easy to the difficult, being systematical, and had notable results in general. It not only satisfied their studying needs of intellectual property basics, but also acquired them of information of real application value in their scientific research and laid the foundation of the future intellectual property management and transition.
This training course helped improve the intellectual property awareness of the research specialist staffs, enhance their abilities in the application of intellectual property management system and promote their intellectual property working standard. In future, ISL will intensify efforts to the intellectual property training of scientific specialist staffs and readjust the course contents in time according to the feedback, making the intellectual property training work more systematical and professional.
