ISL Accredited to Open a Postdoctoral Research Station in Geology

Time:2009-09-29

Approved by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and National Postdoctoral Administrative Commission, ISL is accredited to establish a postdoctoral research station in geology (first level discipline).

332 new postdoctoral research stations will be opened, appraised and approved by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and National Postdoctoral Administrative Commission based on expert assessments. The purpose is to facilitate the construction of high level teams of talents, foster massive postdoctoral staff with independent creativity to meet the strategic needs of national economic and social development, and boost the construction of national key fields of development and disciplines. ISL is honored to be allowed to establish one such station.

ISL has been making persistent commitments to studies in salt lake geochemistry for more than 40 years, resulting in a rich database of scientific information, a whole variety of pioneering achievements, and a strong research team with distinctive capabilities. Currently, ISL has grown into an irreplaceable base for innovative researches in salt lake resources, environment, and comprehensive utilization, as well as for breeding high level specialists.

This move is another piece of breaking news following the approval of establishing a postdoctoral station in chemistry. It marks a further upgrade of ISL in developing its team of talents and innovative potentials in scientific research.
