2Brief Introduction

The group mainly focuses on arid climate and salinity evolution of salt lakes, hydro-geochemistry and isotope geochemistry of salt lake region, water-salt cycle and optimal regulation of water resources in the catchment of salt lake, utilization of salt lake resources and ecological environmental protection, dynamic monitoring and integration of scientific data of salt lakes, and environmental pollution and pollutant migration and transformation in salt lake area. The team now has 16 permanent staff members, including 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 1 senior engineer, 7 assistant professors (including 1 postdoctoral). At present, there are 11 graduate students in this team, including 3 doctoral students and 8 master's students. Nearly 20 doctoral and master’s degree students have graduated.

Brief CV:Dr. Wang Jianping, a professor and supervisor of doctoral students, who is currently Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes, CAS, and Director of the Salt Lake Evolution and Ecological Conservation Group, etc. She received her undergraduate degree from Lanzhou University, majoring in Physical Geography from 1988 to 1992, Master's Degree in Economic Geography from 1992 to 1995. And she received her Ph.D. Degree in Natural Resource Management from University of Birmingham, UK, from 2005 to 2009. Currently, her main research area is salt lake evolution and ecological environmental protection, mainly including water resources change and optimal regulation under the dual impact of climate change and human activities, and the integrated analysis and fusion of salt lake scientific data. She has published dozens of research papers and monographs, applied for several soft-writings and patents, and presided over more than 20 projects, including the Second Comprehensive Scientific Expedition of Tibetan Plateau, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (such as the Regional Innovation Key Program, the General Program), the Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Deployment Research Program, and other various programs. She has been awarded the Third Prize of “Progress in Geographic Information Science and Technology” by China Association of Geographic Information Industry (2016), “Social Service Award for Women Science and Technology Workers” by China Association of Women Science and Technology Workers (2019), and “Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker in Qinghai Province” (2020), Outstanding Graduate Tutor of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2020), Qinghai Provincial Scientific Achievement Award Innovation Drive Medal (2023), Qinghai Provincial Natural Science Award (Second Prize, 2023) and many other awards and honorary titles, and was also selected as Qinghai Provincial High-end Thousand Talents Program (Leader Talents, 2020), Qinghai Provincial Scientific Research and Innovation Team and so on.
