    1. RESEARCH GROUP

    Applied Materials Chemistry Group

     

    2. BRIEF INTRODUCTION

    Applied Materials Chemistry Group focuses on collection and high-value application of various mineral resources in Salt Lakes in China. Briefly, according to the study concepts, there are three research topics as followings.

    1)        Key materials developing for lithium-ion and Lithium metal batteries:

    A.      Research and development of key materials for lithium ion batteries (structure design and modification research of novel cathode material, anode material, electrolyte solution, separator )

    B.       Research and development of key materials for new lithium metal batteries (modification research of sulfur cathode and metallic lithium anode material )

    2)        Salt hydrates Phase change materials:

    A.    Solar Thermal Energy storage and utilization in construction materials. 

    B.     Battery Thermal Energy Storage and transfer.

    3)        Functional Materials

    A.      Adsorbents with high efficiency and capacity for Lithium from Salt lakes.

    B.       Functional materials with high value and performance by employing solid wastes as resources.

    C.       Green environmental catalytic materials for desulfurization and denitrification were developed with solid waste as carrier.

    D.      New inorganic nonmetallic materials with photoelectric properties.

    E.      Recycling and reuse of waste lithium ion batteries.
