    1. RESEARCH GROUP

Solution Structure Group of QISL, CAS

    2. BRIEF INTRODUTION

Solution Structure Group of QISL, CAS is an old and young group. We have been focusing on the study of solution structure for nearly 30 years, and we are a very active and young research group with the average age of the group members less than 33. We are focusing on the structure of disordered materials (liquid or amorphous) by X-ray/Neutron scattering, EXAFS, DFT and Molecular Dynamics, etc. Recently, the structure of solid-liquid, liquid-liquid interfaces are focused also. The study can shed some light on the fundamentals in hydrated salt phase change energy/heat storage material and the separation of rare elements in salt lakes, etc.

Solution structure is a challenging reseach filed, we cooperate with researchers from Japan, UK, France and Sweden etc. internationally. We organized the 36th International Conference on Solution Chemistry successfully in 2019, and co-organized the symposium titled “Frontiers of molecular approaches to properties and functions of liquids and solutions” of Pacifichem2021. As one research group of the Key Laboratory of Comprehensive and Highly Efficient Utilization of Salt lake Resource of CAS, and in the Key Laboratory of Salt Lake Resources Chemistry of Qinghai Province, master & Ph.D students and young scientists are welcome to visit and join us.
