    2. SITE OF CONFERENCE

The symposium will be held in the "China's Summer Capital" of Xining, capital of Qinghai Province. Situated at the upstream of the Huangshui River, which is a major branch of the Yellow River, the city is in reality the eastern gateway of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, encompassed by clusters of mountains and rivers. The local people never encounter extreme cold in winter or scorching heat in summer. In particular, the August Xining is pleasantly cool and captivatingly blooming with flowers and trees. As such, the city is rated as one of the three Chinese summer resorts.
