In order to strengthen the academic exchanges between young scholars in different disciplines at home and abroad, to promote cross-cutting and integration of disciplines, to enhance the cooperation and innovation ability of young scholars of ISL, Youth Innovation Association Group of ISL invited the Prof. Li Gaojun and Dr. Li Le, from Nanjing University, and Liu Baokang, the Senior Engineer of Qinghai Province Institute of Meteorological Sciences, went to Qinghai Salt Lake for academic exchange on April 25.

Dr. Li Le gave a report entitled "Uranium comminution age", which explains the principle of the uranium isotope fragmentation age model and its application in the deposition process. After that, he described the loess plateau loess of the Loess Plateau, which had a reliable sediment age, and had a relatively stable source in the glaciation and interglacial periods. As a research object, more accurate particle size particles were obtained by electron sieve, and the f value was determined accurately Evaluating the effects of chemical dissolution and compaction, they found that the Loess Plateau loess had been transferred to the Loess Plateau for about 240,000 years after the particles were broken. Finally, Li Le described some of their new insights into the use of uranium isotope fragmentation in the loess crushing and handling processes and the rate of erosion at the basin scale. At the end of the report, Professor Li Gaojun further elaborated on the age of uranium isotope fragmentation.

Liu Baokang has done a report entitled "The Cause and Effect of the River in the Hoh Xil Zhuo Nai Lake". He tells the story of the Zhuo Naihu dike in mid-September 2011, resulting in the connection between Zhuo Naihu and Kusai Lake, Haiding Nuoer Lake and Salt Lake and the ecological consequences. Zhuo Naihu area in 1969 to August 2011 showed a slow increase during the trend, in mid-September 2011 after the collapse of the area after the sudden drop. Liu Baokang that the continuous increase in recent 52 years is the basis of Zhuo Naihu dike, August 22, 2011 before the two heavy rainfall process and the subsequent precipitation is the main reason leading to dike, Zhuo Lake area change and Glacier area changes are not directly related to the inevitable. He pointed out that the two earthquakes before the Zhuo Naihu dike may have a certain impact on the lake basin structure of Zhuo Lake, thus accelerating the dike process. Zhuo Naihu Lake dike led to the lake shoreline retreat, the lake exposed large tracts of desertification land, flood erosion formed a new river bed affect the Tibetan antelope migration. The lake area of the downstream of Zhuo Lake is significantly increased, and it has a corrosive effect on the surrounding grassland, communication cable, oil pipeline and national defense facilities. It also affects the safe operation of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Qinghai-Tibet Highway.

After the report, the speaker and the participating teachers and students on the relevant scientific issues launched a heated discussion and exchange.
