On October 21 and 23, 2012 annual meeting of Chinese magnesium industry was organized by the Chinese magnesium industry association. Delegation of ISL attended the meeting.

The theme of the conference was innovation, self-discipline, specification and development. The issue was carrying out Scientific Outlook on Development; promoting new technologies and products and the management idea of the enterprise; strengthening the brand consciousness and the construction of sincerity; paying attention to the guarantee of the product quality; strengthening self-discipline of enterprise to improve the overall development level of China and the sustainable development.

During the meeting, Gao Xiulan , inspector of ministry of industry and information material industry department ,interpreted the policy “ speeding up and promoting the stable and sustainable development of our magnesium industry”. Liu Nengwen, director of Timber saving development center ,gave a report about the development of magnesite material as the replacement of traditional wood material, having its own unique advantage .Qiu Facheng ,president of magnesium industry, made a detailed report on the innovation, self-discipline, specification and development of the magnesium field.

Ma Haizhou, representative of R＆D institution, made a detailed analysis on the scientific research on magnesite material of ISL and the resource of magnesium chloride. He pointed out that Qinghai province is the important basement of potash fertilizer, eliminating 40 million tons of magnesium chloride. There will be a waste if the magnesium resources not be fully used.

Therefore ,it was a research proposition about how to improve the application range of magnesium materials and the production of high grade and high added value products. Finally Ma Haizhou suggested that national certification of magnesite material should be made to make a healthy and orderly development of the magnesium industry.

During the meeting, new technologies, products, equipment and the new progress and achievements in scientific research and production of magnesium industry were exhibited and exchange.
