On October 24, the Bureau of Frontier Science and Education of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a rectification and acceptance meeting of the "Key Laboratory of Comprehensive and Efficient Use of Salt Lake Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences". The expert group first heard the director of key laboratory Wu Zhijian's report on the rectification work. And then they reviewed the relevant materials and conducted an on-site inspection and acceptance.

In response to expert opinions from the previous evaluation period, the positioning and research directions have been adjusted and optimized, further highlighting the characteristics of the salt lake, making it better serve the national strategic needs, serving the country’s “Belt and Road” construction, and serving the economy and social development of the western region of China.. The organizational structure and academic committees were adjusted and optimized, and a new advisory committee was established to strengthen the leadership and organization of the scientific and technological innovation work of the salt lake in the laboratory and strengthen the overall coordination of the salt lake power. The patented "Method for Separating Magnesium and Concentrated Lithium from Salt Lake Brine" authorizes Qinghai Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. and Qinghai Dongtai Jinaier Lithium Resources Co., Ltd. to implement transformation in Ginel Salt Lake in Dongtai, with a total license fee of 40 million yuan. This work won the Science and Technology Promotion Development Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the 19th China Patent Award for Excellence.

While fully affirming the rectification work, the expert group hopes that relying on units and key laboratories will continue to fulfill their responsibilities for construction, management and operation, continue to improve the management and operation mechanism, and continuously improve the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of key laboratories.

The expert group unanimously agreed that the Key Laboratory of Comprehensive and Efficient Utilization of Salt Lake Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences passed rectification and acceptance.
