On March 19th, the 2018 Academic Annual Meeting of the Key Laboratory of Salt Lake Geology and Environment of Qinghai Province was successfully held in the conference room on the sixth floor. Leaders, experts and scholars, from the Science and Technology Department of Qinghai Province, the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environmental Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), the Qinghai Provincial Water Engineering Investigation Institute, the Qinghai Provincial Environmental Geology Monitoring Station, the Qinghai Provincial Hydrographic Bureau, and the Qinghai Normal University. University, Qinghai University, Qinghai Water Engineering Investigation Institute, Qinghai Provincial Meteorological Observatory, Qinghai Geological Survey, etc. were invited to attend this academic conference. The conference was hosted by ISL, jointly organized by the Salt Lake Geology and Environment Laboratory, the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Salt Lake Chemical Analysis and Testing Center.

At the meeting, Professor Wang Jianping, the director of the key laboratory, introduced the construction of the laboratory in 2018, the achievements and future work plans to the leaders and guests of the conference, and thanked the provincial science and technology department, the leaders and relevant departments for supporting the work of the laboratory. The number of participants in this annual academic conference has reached more than 100. The report covers a number of related fields such as salt lake resource utilization, ecological environmental protection and engineering geological disasters. Professor Xia Yanqing from the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environmental Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Jiang Hongwei from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Professor Zhou Huakun from the Institute of Northwest Plateau Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wu Jun from ISL, Professor Hou Guangliang of Qinghai Normal University, Professor E Chongyi of Qinghai Normal University, Associate Professor Erfeng of Qinghai University, Senior Engineer of Zhang Qixing, Senior Engineer of Qinghai Province, and Senior Engineer of Guo Xiaoning, and Prof. Ma Yunqi, Associate Professor Liu Xiangjun, Prof. Wei Haicheng and Dr. Asim of ISL were invited to give wonderful academic reports.
