In order to further strengthen the integration of production, learning and research, and promote the exploration, development and research of salt lakes and salt minerals, on the morning of March 25, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between ISL and Shandong Taishan Geological Prospecting Group was held in ISL. Wu Zhijian, deputy director of the work presided over by Qinghai Salt Lake, and Duan Qiguo, chairman of Shandong Taishan Geological Prospecting Group, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective units. Li Zhenfeng, deputy general manager of Shandong Taishan Geological Prospecting Group, and some middle-level cadres and researchers of the ISL attended the signing ceremony.

Duan Qiguo and his entourage first visited the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall of ISL and learned more about the history of the institute, research platforms, talent teams, scientific and technological achievements, and important scientific research projects undertaken. At the following symposium, Wu Zhijian welcomed Duan Qiguo and his party’s visit, and introduced the research achievements of the institute and the current key tasks. Duan Qiguo conducted the establishment of the Taishan Geological Prospecting Group and the five industrial sectors. It is believed that the two sides have extensive cooperation areas and complementary advantages. In the future, they can conduct multi-faceted and in-depth exchanges and discussions on scientific research and project cooperation, personnel training and exchanges.

According to the agreement, the respective advantages of ISL and Shandong Taishan Geological Prospecting Group will be brought into full play to promote the common development of both parties. In line with the principle of “combining advantages, mutual benefit, sharing results, and seeking common development”, both parties will be involved in the development of salt lake resources. Geological and environmental cooperation, development of potash resources, comprehensive utilization of associated resources such as lithium, boron, and bromine, etc.
