    A forum on the construction of the National Salt Lakes' Data Center was held in ISL

    On Apr 22th, in order to promote the construction of the National Salt Lakes’ Data Center, researcher Jianping Wang and the Information Center of ISL organized a forum on the implementation of “One-Three-Five” Strategic Planning and the content construction of the National Salt Lakes’ Data Center. About 10 relative staff participated in the discussion.

    At the forum, Jianping Wang gave a a brief description of “One-Three-Five” Strategic Planning and the construction plan of the National Salt Lakes’ Data Center and noted that currently we need to use advantage literature resources of the Information Center to learn about the history and present situation of salt lake resources exploitation. She hoped that the Information Center search and collect the abroad data about phase chemistry of salt lakes through the information resources of ISL, Lanzhou Branch and Chinese Academy of Sciences to build the base database of this field.

    Fafu Li, director of the Information Center, pointed out that the Information Center kept pace with the reformation, compacted developmental goals, clear direction and enhanced the analysis ability on the data. The Information Center is transferring to provide the knowledge-based service, so they can expand the scope of the intelligence services based on the needs of researchers and provide more pertinent data.

    Subsequently, the participating parties discussed how to get the global salt lakes’ data by teamwork on the basis of a preliminary understanding of the content of the work, and developed a feasible way to collect the data.
