To focus on the comprehensive utilizing of brine resource and oil-gas resource, organize the research work and promoting the teamwork between research institute and enterprise in Qinghai province, Chinese Academy of Science and Qinghai province Department of Science and Technology jointly organized the meeting of brine resource and oil-gas resource on 30th, Oct, in ISL.

Han Zhenhai, from the western division of National Development and Reform Commission, vice president Yang Shengrong, from Lanzhou Branch, division chief Huyu, from High-Tec division of Qinghai Provence Department of Science and Technology, etc, attend the conference which was hosted by Duan Dongping, from ISL.

In the meeting, Han says that CAS has played a very important role of supporting the significant science and technology project in the process of western development. He hopes that via this meeting, CAS, Qinghai province and local enterprise should combine with the accumulation advantage of western resources and energy and centre on the project of transformation development in western part of China propelling by science and technology. Yan points out that in the virtue of this meeting, we hope the attendee could break through a series of key technology to drive local pillar industries development. He also shows gratitude to those industries which have made great contribution to promote technology teamwork. Yang Shengrong says: we need to combine the great resource demand in Qinghai province, propel comprehensive utilizing of brine resource and oil-gas resource and perfecting collaborative model among institutes.In the afrernoon of 30th, Yanqing, Han Zhenghai and Yang Shengrong have an informal discussion with the leaders of scientific research institution. In the discussion meeting, Duan gives a lecture on “Pay special attention to the implementation of teamwork, innovation-driven development of Qinghai”. In the lecture, Duan states the strategy meaning of brine resource, points out the problem of salt manufacturing industries and comes up with cooperation advices. He also introduces the ten research program content of brine in ISL, such as the extraction of element in brine, solid-liquid conversion of low grade sylvite.

In the conference research personnel come up with advices to promote the sustainable development of brine resource.

Technology cooperation between research industries and brine enterprise in Qinghai province will accelerate, comprehensive utilizing of brine resource and oil-gas resource will promote and the local economic strength will increase substantially.
