Appraisal meeting of the state of torch-plan projects "the key technology research achievements on lithium carbonate development of Qinghai Dong tai salt lake" was held in ISL, December 22 afternoon, 2010.

Experts of Qinghai scientific department gave evaluation on the issue, which was assumed jointly by ISL and limited company of Qinghai lithium. The experts listened to report by research group, and reviewed the relevant material, after serious discussion, gave evaluation opinions.

Experts confirmed that this technology and route of separation of lithium carbonate from brine was advanced and reliable, which was also of international initiative.

This project is completed with annual capacity of 3,000 tons for lithium carbonate experimental demonstration engineering. Reliable engineering data has been obtained through the test operation in recent years: lithium yield p 85% in preparation of lithium carbonate, purity of lithium carbonate reaches 99.5%, better than GB standard (GB/T 11075-2003) first class standards, and the production cost is lower.

Finally the expert committee agreed that the results achieved the international advanced level, and gave high evaluation, also suggest strengthen of intellectual property protection was needed.
